Welcome to CK Courier Service ("we," "us," "our," or "Company"), a family-owned and operated courier service based in Chatham-Kent, Ontario, Canada. We are dedicated to providing fast, friendly, and affordable delivery solutions for local businesses and residents, including expedited parcel deliveries typically completed within two hours. By accessing our website at www.ckcouriers.com (the "Website"), scheduling a delivery, or otherwise using our services. collectively, the "Services"), you ("you," "your," or "Customer") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our Services.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and CK Courier Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised Terms on our Website. Your continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically for updates.
1. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms:
"Item" means any mail, package, parcel, box, document, envelope, or other goods entrusted to us for delivery."Services" include the pickup, transportation, and delivery of Items within Chatham-Kent and surrounding areas, as well as any related ancillary services. "Prohibited Items" refer to goods that are illegal, hazardous, or otherwise unsuitable for transport, as detailed in Section 6. "Force Majeure Event" means any event beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, strikes, labor disputes, governmental actions, pandemics, traffic congestion, or mechanical failures.
2. Services Provided
We offer reliable and expedited courier services tailored to meet the needs of local businesses and individuals in Chatham-Kent and surrounding areas. Our Services include:
Fast Local Delivery: Pickup and delivery of Items typically within two hours, subject to availability and operational constraints.
Range of Item Sizes: Handling of small documents (up to 1ft), medium packages (up to 3ft), large parcels (up to 6ft), and extra-large items (custom quotes required).
Specialized Options: Discounted rates for deliveries within Blenheim and surrounding areas (within 10km radius).
Custom Quotes: For deliveries involving unique requirements, extra-large Items, or distances beyond standard rates.
Scheduling:
Services are provided on a per-call basis. To request a delivery, you must contact us via email at [email protected] or phone/text at 519.914.3775, providing your full name, email, phone number, pickup address, drop-off address, Item description, and any special instructions.
We aim to serve all of our clients with professional handling, but all deliveries are subject to our availability as a family-owned business. We do not guarantee specific delivery times, as they may be affected by traffic, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.
3. Pricing and Payment
Our pricing is competitive and based on Item size and distance traveled, calculated from the furthest points in Chatham-Kent. Rates are subject to change and may include exceptions based on specific circumstances. Current standard rates (in CAD, excluding applicable taxes) are as follows:
Small Item (no bigger than 1ft): $39.99 per item
Medium Item (no bigger than 3ft): $59.99 per item
Large Item (no bigger than 6ft): $79.99 per item
Extra Large Item: Custom quote required
Blenheim Special: $19.99 for deliveries within Blenheim and surrounding areas (within 10km)
Custom Quotes: We will provide a tailored quote upon request for non-standard deliveries. Quotes are valid for 48 hours and must be accepted in writing.
Taxes and Fees: All prices exclude HST or other applicable taxes, which will be added at the time of invoicing. Additional fees may apply for after-hours service, special handling, or failed delivery attempts due to Customer error.
Payment Terms: Payment is due upon scheduling, pickup, or delivery, as agreed. We accept payments via cash, e-transfer, credit card, or other methods specified at booking. Late payments may incur a 5% fee per week. No refunds for services rendered, except as outlined in Section 8.
4. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure smooth and safe delivery, you agree to:
Properly package and label all Items to withstand normal transit conditions, including secure wrapping and clear addressing. Provide accurate and complete information, including pickup/drop-off addresses, contact details, Item dimensions, weight, and contents. Disclose any special handling requirements (e.g., fragile Items) in advance. Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and restrictions regarding the shipment of Items. Ensure that the recipient is available at the drop-off location or provide alternative instructions. Obtain any necessary permits or approvals for Items that may require them. Failure to comply may result in refusal of service, additional charges, or cancellation without refund. We reserve the right to inspect Items for safety and compliance.
5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CK Courier Service, its owners, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, theft, delay, misdelivery, non-delivery, or destruction of any Item (including mail, packages, parcels, boxes, documents, or other goods) that occurs while using our Services, during the provision of our Services, or while the Item is in transit. This limitation applies regardless of the cause, including but not limited to negligence, breach of contract, or any other legal theory. Without limiting the foregoing, we shall not be liable for: Direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunities, or use. Damage arising from Force Majeure Events, third-party actions, improper packaging, inherent defects in the Item, or prohibited contents. Any claims exceeding the amount paid for the specific Service in question. Our Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without any warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, timeliness, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that deliveries will be completed within any specific timeframe, as external factors may cause delays. You are strongly advised to obtain independent insurance for valuable or irreplaceable Items, as we do not provide insurance coverage. By using our Services, you acknowledge and accept these risks and agree to release us from any related claims.
6. Prohibited Items
We strictly prohibit the transportation of certain Items to ensure safety and compliance with laws. Prohibited Items include, but are not limited to:
Hazardous materials (e.g., flammable, explosive, corrosive, or toxic substances).
Illegal substances, contraband, or controlled items (e.g., drugs, weapons).
Live animals, perishable goods requiring refrigeration, or biohazards.
Currency, jewelry, or high-value items without prior approval and insurance.
Items exceeding our size/weight limits (e.g., over 6ft without custom arrangement).
Any goods that violate Canadian federal, provincial, or municipal laws.
If you attempt to ship a Prohibited Item, we may refuse service, report it to authorities if required, and hold you responsible for any resulting costs, damages, or legal consequences.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CK Courier Service, its owners, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:
Your breach of these Terms.
The contents, packaging, or labeling of your Items.
Any violation of laws or third-party rights caused by your use of our Services.
Any personal injury, property damage, or other harm resulting from your Items.
This indemnification obligation survives the termination of these Terms or your use of the Services.
8. Cancellations, Refunds, and Modifications
Cancellations: You may cancel a scheduled delivery at least 2 hours before pickup by contacting us. Cancellations after this window may incur a fee equal to 50% of the quoted rate. Refunds: Refunds are issued at our sole discretion for unused Services, minus any administrative or processing fees (up to $10). No refunds for completed deliveries, delays, or partial services.
Modifications: Changes to delivery details must be requested in advance and may result in adjusted pricing or rescheduling.
9. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms due to a Force Majeure Event. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to resume Services as soon as practicable.
10. Termination
CK Courier Service may terminate your access to the website for any reason, at any time, without notice.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or our Services shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Chatham-Kent, Ontario. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
In the event of a dispute, we encourage informal resolution first by contacting us. If unresolved, either party may pursue legal action.
12. Miscellaneous Provisions
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with any custom quotes or agreements, constitute the entire understanding between you and us, superseding all prior agreements. Assignment: We may assign these Terms without your consent. You may not assign without our written approval. Notices: All notices shall be in writing and sent to [email protected]
13. Privacy and Data Protection
We collect and use personal information (e.g., name, contact details, addresses) solely to provide and improve our Services. We do not share your data with third parties except as necessary for service fulfillment or as required by law. For full details, please contact us for our Privacy Policy. By using our Services, you consent to our data practices.
14. Changes to the Terms
These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and CK Courier Service regarding your use of our website and service.
